Sa Dec is a city directly under the province of Dong Thap province, Vietnam, is the economic, financial, educational and cultural center of the province. Sa Dec was recognized by the Government of Vietnam as a city directly under Dong Thap province on October 14, 2013 under Resolution No. 113/NQ-CP. Sadec is oriented to become a smart city, bearing the identity of a flower city, playing the role of the southern economic center of the province and applying many technologies in operation.

Accordingly, MDC and Advantech – a strategic partner had working sessions and developed a smart city implementation plan. MDC proposes to deploy the Smart Operations Monitoring Center with the scale of 3 areas including: digital government, digital society and digital economy. Intelligent Operation and Supervision Center (IOC) is an information technology system including infrastructure, hardware and software with the function of collecting specialized databases of agencies and units. and process, analyze for output results to meet the requirements of direction and administration of all levels of government and agencies and units.

In phase 1, Sa Dec City People’s Committee will renovate, decorate the interior of the Smart Control Center Room and open the operation. MDC and Advantech together provide installation and commissioning of 55-inch video walls, controllers, mining equipment, deploying a long-range city surveillance camera system from above, core software of the Center for Smart Operations Monitoring intelligently, integrating data for 12 management areas, and inheriting 3 management areas from the provincial system including traffic cameras.
In phase 2, MDC and Advantech will continue to deploy smart light poles, information broadcasting system, traffic safety, wastewater monitoring, AioT platform and smart control monitoring software.

The application of smart solutions in operation will help Sa Dec city develop a modern, smart city with high quality of life, impress tourists, locals and ensure security and order.
