On April 4, the Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee – Pham Thien Nghia welcomed and had a meeting with Vice President of Hwacom Corporation (Taiwan) and Managing Partner of MDC.
At the meeting, Mr. Steven Chen – Vice President of Hwacom Corporation expressed his desire to cooperate and support Dong Thap province to become a leading province in terms of digital transformation in Vietnam.

According to Mr. Steven Chen, with more than 30 years of experience in providing advance technology solutions in Taiwan in many sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, transportation… Hwacom Corp. is willing to support Dong Thap province in the digital transformation execution, to develop smart industrial park infrastructure, thereby attracting investment, creating new jobs for the young local’s workforce.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia said “Dong Thap identified digital transformation as one of the most important tasks in the current period and the following years. The strength in technology development of Hwacom Group is very suitable for Dong Thap’s orientation in digital transformation progress.”
As a strategic partner of Advantech Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen Thao, Managing Partner of MDC emphasized: “The Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation are now the focus of the world. Vietnam is not strictly part of this wave, which is why the Vietnamese government is paying great attention to and promoting policies to support businesses and organizations in all industries. We understand very well and always look forward to accompanying the Provinces and becoming a bridge between the local organizations and High-tech companies”.
After the meeting, representatives of Hwacom and MDC were supported by the Department of Information and Communications and related departments to visit some places in Cao Lanh city, including the location of the future smart industrial park.
On this occasion, Mr. Steven Chen delivered the official invitation of the President of Hwacom Corporation to the leader of Dong Thap province to visit the smart city model in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
